FOUNDATION OF ADAPATED PHYSICAL ACTIVITY

The course consists of six sessions that cover the basics of Adapted Physical Activity. It is a 5‑credit course, corresponding to approximately 125 hours of student work.

  • Legislation & Policy; Disability Awareness & Advocacy, Multi-professional Advocacy Skills
  • Professional Role Comparison; Interprofessional Collaboration
  • Self-Concept & Self-Efficacy
  • Disability Sports Structures (Deaflympics, Special Olympics, Paralympics)
  • History Conceptual Framework of APA
